The Vigilant vision plan from Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon is a simple, comprehensive plan that provides choice. Employees can receive preventive eye care from an extensive network of providers including ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Flexibility
Employees can use the $200-per-year hardware benefit to purchase hardware anywhere they choose. It covers all types of corrective lenses, so contacts and eyeglass lenses are reimbursed at the same level.

Dental/Vision “Essentials” plan (Regence BlueCross BlueShield)
This benefit option allows employees and their dependents the ability to have at least an annual vision and dental exam. However, the annual limit of $100 for Vision and $300 for Dental could be used at the discretion of the member based on their individual needs. Benefits designed to cover an annual dental and vision exam.

The ODS Delta Dental Premier network includes more than nine out of 10 practicing dentists in Oregon and Washington and three out of every four dentists nationwide, serving all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. With so many dentists participating in our network, you have the freedom to select a dentist that is right for you and your family.
Total cost control
At ODS, we do things differently. Because we require dentists to file fees for services that fall below our fee ceiling, we provide total cost control to our members.

Additional Programs
Oral Health, Total Health
Oral health research shows a strong link between oral health and overall health. ODS believes that when members see a dentist regularly and maintain a healthy mouth, it can help keep the rest of their body healthy, too. Through our Oral Health, Total Health program, ODS offers additional preventive benefits to diabetics and pregnant women in their third trimester.ODS also provides other evidence-based dental benefits, including routine oral cancer screenings with every exam.
ViziLite – Brush Biopsy
If, during an exam, additional screening is required, ODS covers ViziLite and Brush Biopsy, two nonsurgical methods of detecting abnormal cells in the mouth.
